Students should list the bonus points they have completed:

• Boids bounce off each other
• Boids bounce off obstacles
• Visually obvious flocking behavior (alignment, separation)
• alignment flocking behavior
• separation flocking behavior
• cohesion flocking behavior
• added slider or checkbox that alters steering behavior

Notes:

• The "border margin slider" can be set to 0 for default non flocking behavior where the boids just bounce off the walls, or to around 50 to "nudge" the boids away from edge without hitting and causing weird behavior
• The "border rejection strength" slider effects how strongly they are pushed away once getting within the margin range
• Obstacle random placement adheres to the border margin for boids, but if you place many obstacles and then increase the border margin boids can get stuck, so you will need to adjust obstacles slider which will cause new obstacles to be drawn that are within the new margin
• The "clear" button removes everything, more boids can be added with the add "10 button"
• The "Reset (no flocking)" button sets all the flocking parameters to 0 and sets everything to what would be the basic requirements, with only boids bouncing off each other and obstacles added from bonus points (obstacles can also be removed by setting the slider to 0, and the boids can be set not to bounce off each other by de-selecting the checkbox)
• The "Reset (flocking)" button sets things to what looks pleasing to me for a flocking case, with alignment and separation enabled
• I included sliders to change the values to any somewhat reasonable range, but with certain combinations things get weird, like enabling separation and cohesion together
• I added a FPS display (not sure if it is 100% correct) just to get an idea of what was taking up the most computations, and left it in
